Traditional Sash Restorations was founded with our customers entirely in mind. We wanted to provide our customers with a complete and efficient restoration process. The business was founded by David, who has now entered into retirement and has passed the torch on to his two sons, Daniel and Aaron. 

Initially, David served as a bench hand joiner. David started by learning the full manufacturing side of joinery, through learning on the bench. Then, David started with the making of casement windows and stairs. Over the years, his experience and confidence developed, so he then moved on to box sash windows, traditionally weighted and balanced spiral systems. 

Once I had completed my training on the bench, including all the techniques, such as circular work and Gothic arches. I gained a passion for the conservation of architectural heritage work. As the years passed by, I have become entirely diverse in my field. Now, Traditional Sash is a completely family-run joinery manufacturer, and my two sons run the business alongside me. 

David has trained both of his sons in all aspects of bench hand joinery, and they are both competent, capable joiners, from the manufacturing of box sash windows to the restoration as well as the installation of traditional sash windows.
